Beaches in Barbados

The Caribbean has many great treasures of the island with respect to destinations. Barbados is one of those places. This island is its own country and is located close to South America, just over 250 miles off the coast of Venezuela. It is east of Saint Lucia and north of Trinidad and Tobago. The island itself is only about 165 square miles of lowlands, but the tropical trade winds, beautiful tropical forests and, of course, beautiful beaches make it popular with tour operators. You can also enjoy a holiday in Barbados.

According to the United Nations, Barbados is the fourth most developed of all developing countries in the world. May be small, but almost all the inhabitants of this island enjoys a high standard of living, and this extends to tourists visiting the country each year, so you can expect from your trip in Barbados to be nothing short of fantastic.

If you travel to the sunny beaches of Barbados, likely to fly in the only major airport in the island, Sir Grantley Adams International Airport. Many major airlines serve the airport from most regions of the world and, in fact, is an important center for the Caribbean region, so no matter where you travel in the region, you can go to the Barbados, take a cruise or flight to another island.

Some of the best things to do while in Barbados are centered on the beach. Surfing is very popular, because the waters here are perfect for that. The west and south coasts are the most popular, and you can be sure to benefit from a number of sunny days lying on the pink sand, if you like sunbathing.

However, if the beach is not your thing, you can also enjoy shopping at duty-free tourist centers.
