Citizens of the United States, as well as Australia and Canada do not need a visa. Passports are only needed when you travel to England.

Numbers
Not to be confused with how to write numbers. Commas are used instead of the period, while the delays are used instead of commas. So if you see 1000 euro, which means a thousand (1000) km and 1.50 euros and must be understood as a half (1 1 / 5) miles.

Measures
Remember: 1lb. is more or less around 0.5 kilograms, 1 mile is  about 1.6 km and 1 pint is approximately 0.5 liters.

Currency
England continued to use local currency (pound), but also accept euros. One pound equals 100 pence (p). The parts of coins are in 1p, 5p, 10p, 20p and 50p.  5 pounds is the lowest paper money. Be careful when using the local currency, even in the decimal system. One pound equals U.S. $2.

Weather
England experiences mild climate throughout the year. Nearly half of the year is cloudy. The rain is expected at any moment because of the southwesterly winds. Always wear a coat or an umbrella, even if you visit in summer. Unlike other countries, the summers in England are not very hot, with temperatures rarely go above 80F. It is much colder in winter, but still comfortable. Winter temperatures rarely drop to 30F. The weather during the spring and fall are pleasant yet. North of England is relatively cooler than the south of England. East is the driest region of England. Before leaving, check the weather in England for the duration of your trip.

Transportation
Towns and villages are connected by highways. The bus services are available from one place to another. Taxi services are available in major cities. From London Underground, or more commonly called the tube is at the heart of the city. Suburban rail system is available in Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool and the cities of Newcastle and South Yorkshire.

Local customs
English proper, punctual and self-disciplined. And hope that others, including tourists, to act accordingly. It is rude to watch other people. Shaking hands when meeting people are normal. Hugs and kisses as a sign of salvation must be limited to close friends and family. Although casual work clothes, you are required to wear a shirt and sometimes more formal restaurants.
