How Serious Is Swine Flu?

Sulumits Retsambew : Saudi Arabia has become the latest country to confirm cases of swine influenza.

A May recall of an epidemic known as avian flu is more dangerous than the H1N1 virus. According to Professor Neil Ferguson, the World Health Organization, the H1N1 is nothing compared to other epidemics such as SARS or the Spanish flu of 1918.

According to the professor, the evidence reveals that the UK is headed by an epidemic of swine influenza in the coming months. However, it would be difficult to determine the extent of the epidemic because it is usually the season when the flu is widespread in the United Kingdom.

It is also almost certain that disappears if the H1N1 outbreak in the coming weeks, there could be a virus in the fall. If the situation is becoming an epidemic, then 30% – 40% of the population in general May be susceptible to infection. Professor Ferguson believes that any outbreak can be longer since the summer season in the United Kingdom is fast approaching.

In addition, Sir Liam Donaldson, Chief Medical Officer, who is competing for England, believes that this new strain of H1N1 virus is something that people have natural immunity and has not yet received any vaccine. For this reason, it becomes susceptible to infection and spread to others.
However, there is insufficient information about the H1N1 virus remains a subject of study by leading laboratories in the world. Once you have enough information about the virus, only then it will be possible in May to make predictions about the improvement of individuals who are most at risk and the probability of having serious complications.

At present, the situation in Mexico is to create confusion and it is difficult to make a conclusion on what is likely to occur. In any case, it should be prepared for any untoward incidents that occur in May

Professor John Oxford, for its part, considers that the outbreak of H1N1 is not as alarming as the bird flu virus H5N1. He believes that the country can provide the basis H1N1 population immunity. Outbreaks outside Mexico have not resulted in death is an indication that the virus is not as aggressive.

In addition, the summer fast approaching and it is less likely for the H1N1 virus causes an outbreak, too. In any event, the United Kingdom has enough antiviral drugs to treat half the population.

In this spirit, there is no reason to worry because the H1N1 virus seems to cause an epidemic that would be felt throughout the world and increase mortality rates.

The outbreak of H1N1 began in Mexico City today, and caused the death of 42 persons and more than 800 confirmed cases of infection with swine influenza. Although it increased in 22 countries, it is estimated that this new outbreak of the virus is not the result of a pandemic and it is lighter than viral infections.

Swine Flu And You

Sulumits Retsambew : The Center for Disease Control has been very wild times in the last decade. First SARS, bird fle and now, today, is the potential for the epidemic of swine influenza. First shown in Mexico City last April, this new and terrible H1N1 strain of influenza type A is one of those things that any microbiologist and health care is troubling.

The reason for this fear is quite simple. Like the avian flu has crossed the species. Specifically, from the pig, a species that has built in resistance to it, the human population, a population that is not. If it spreads and becomes an epidemic, swine influenza in May reach the summits of the Spanish flu of 1918, which killed fifty to one hundred million people worldwide and devastated after the First World War generation.

The CDC has increased its alert level, and some governments have established quarantine procedures, but more and more cases appear in the world. Mexico City has the most death, however, the majority of other cases outside the city which is less severe symptoms. However, this is nothing more than a month in the home and anything can still happen. With the continuing spread of the disease, we will talk about how it affects you.

Let’s be honest, after everything I said, there is really no reason to panic. In fact, do not panic. The reason is that panic only confuses people to deal effectively with something of this magnitude should not be confused state of mind that you want to be in. What we really need is to be aware and knowledgeable about what they are trying. The action is fast and has the world ddecisive by SARS and avian influenza, and it is likely that we will ensure that the swine flu is not what is killing us all.

Swine influenza is quite normal that your human influenza. It has all the vectors of the same infection, all the same symptoms, and the same treatment. All this is only increased by a factor of two, mostly because humans have no natural resistance to disease. If you want to avoid infection of the same things you do to avoid getting the flu: wash your hands regularly, take your vitamins, and avoid sick people.

If you are ill, in a sense, this is no time to run around like a headless chicken. Immediately isolate you to avoid infecting others and to observe the symptoms, while taking all your medicines against regular flu. Note that even if it is called the swine flu is a virus and antiviral drugs are very effective in achieving an impact on the symptoms you experience in May and help your immune system to infection kick.

Your symptoms persist despite your efforts, it is best to call a doctor. Do not worry if it is really swine influenza – the CDC recommended the use of antiviral inhibitors that help to stop the reproduction of the disease and the disease is treatable.

Let’s just remember that all swine influenza can be fatal, but it is still a disease. And the only things you need to overcome a disease is intelligent and prudent. With all the noise that the media, appearing on it, it can be lost in the shuffle. And remember that in May just save your life.

Swine Flu is a New Pandemic

Sulumits Retsambew : The world is all abuzz with the panic that seems today. This is because, after the SARS and avian influenza, a new strain of virus has managed to head back. The H1N1 influenza virus, more popularly known as swine flu, exploded on the world stage last April by an infection on a large scale in Mexico City.

I think everyone saw the images on CNN of a thousand times. Surgical-masked Mexican hospitals overcrowded with disturbing shots of the full hospital beds. The Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization raised its alert level in the hope of catching and cutting of the infection in the epidemic, but it seems that the cases were reported in the world. It seems that the number of victims of the disease are Mexico, but everyone is waiting for the other shoe to drop.

To understand all this panic, ypou need a little background. Influenza, or more popularly known as the flu, is probably one of the most infectious diseases there. Airborne and highly contagious, which can spread like wildfire around the world. Now we ask what is the matter with some people a little sniffles? It is because this is not the regular flu.

Many influenza viruses that have been exposed to humans for hundreds of years. We have developed an immunity to these strains. The big problem that everyone is afraid of the idea that the strain of flu has crossed species. This has happened with avian flu, and now with the swine flu. Pigs and poultry have also developed resistance to these diseases, because humans are not accustomed to them, these strains of influenza has a great potential to be fatal.

The last time a major flu epidemic swept through the world, the electricity had come to fashion and all models of cars were Ts. The Spanish flu epidemic of 1918, literally set the bar for the modern illness in terms of casualties. Fifty to one hundred million people worldwide died within two years from 1918 to 1920 as the spread of the disease in the world. In the wake of the Great War, was a punch that killed two of a whole generation of young men and women. What everyone fears is that the epidemic of 1918 was an H1N1 subtype of influenza virus, the virus appears to have crossed to become a real threat to humans.

That is why the CDC is keeping vigilance on Mexico and the hope of all the affairs of the branch in the world are not the signs of the beginning of the epidemic throughout the world a few. The good news about this is that the disease is treatable. Medicine and production of vaccines have alerts sent by the CDC and most pharmaceutical companies have begun to beat the oseltamivir and zanamivir.

The problem is that demand exceeds supply, depending on the virulence of swine influenza. Most antiviral drugs are available but are not exactly cure. Which serve to weaken the symptoms and to try and avoid some of the worst flu symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting.

While the world waits and watches the situation in Mexico would be a good idea to take some precautions. Regular hand washing and vitamins can help to ensure that they prevent the initial infection of swine influenza. Avoid pork, but not necessary. Swine influenza can not be transmitted through food. Do not forget to take some preventive measures that can come through clean and healthy.
