Get a Taste of London

Sulumits retsambew would like to describe the places that made his stay worth it when he took a vacation in London, here they are:

  • Tower of London – It holds the world famous Crown Jewels. This is where the famous historical icons of England were imprisoned and executed. The name of the Duke of Norfolk, Katherine Howard, and Anne Boleyn, among others, compose the list.
  • The Tower Bridge – This served as a point of entry of the Thames. The museum offers visitors a good image of the city via the old paths are always memorable.
  • The London Eye – Also one of the main attractions, which was developed by British Airways. The giant wheel includes about 32 capsules that allow people to have a vision of the entire city of nearly 360 degrees. Visitors of all ages are certainly under way to enjoy a visit to the theme park.
  • Westminster Abbey – Known for being a religious place, which was labeled as the official site of the coronation of English monarchs, and his own funeral.
  • The British Museum – Art lover or not, loves art and history of this museum. Most stores all collections of antiquities from Greece, Rome and Asia. Artifacts of the former Great Britain and prehistoric are also housed here.
  • Buckingham Palace – The house, neither more nor less, but the royal family of England, it is always fun to see the changing of the guard who is known to be one of the best attractions.
  • The Houses of Parliament – A combination of the three main attractions, this site allows you to see the House of Commons, House of Lords, Big Ben and the impressive. Gothic architecture was inspired by the Victorian era.
  • The National Gallery – If you want to see the largest collection of European paintings, and then take the best chance to go to the National Gallery.
  • St. Paul’s Cathedral – Another historic site, the cathedral was the scene of several memorable events such as marriage of the Prince and Princess of Wales and the funeral of Winston Churchill. Rebuilt by none other than Christopher Wren in the year 1710, houses a staircase of 530-top and the gallery offers a view of the city itself.
  • Shakespeare’s Globe Theater – It is also seen as a historic site, which was the place of genius, eternal and timeless works of Shakespeare. The site is perfect for a cultural as it is an exact replica of the original Globe Theater, which burned.
  • The Trafalgar Square and Admiralty Arch -  The monument was built in honor of the hero’s most respected maritime England. The statue of Lord Horatio Nelson appears on the monuments and towers about 145 feet. It is also considered as centermost part of the City of London. Through this landmark is the Admiralty Arch, which was built in 1910.
  • Sir John Soane’s Museum – Its architectural design is that it embodies an eccentric mix of colors, perspective and various ornaments dating from different historical eras.
  • Notting Hill – Popularized by the movie with Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, the area offers a pleasant sensation of a small town, not to mention the sense of fashion and trend.
